Our services include:
- Reliability and Technical Availability Assessment: We have developed modelling techniques based on Aerospace best practice, which combine dynamic simulation of system architectures with "hands-on" maintainer involvement to uncover the roots of in-service failures. We also assess the physical layout, the number and location of spares, the number, type and capability of support vessels, and the location of ports, in order to optimise the support solutions to meet your availability requirements.
- Maintenance Optimisation: We have developed "light" Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) practices for offshore wind applications which capture the essence of the formal RCM approach by using basic functional failure analysis and task selection logic. Such an approach brings maintenance cost savings by ensuring that the right tasks are selected, while cutting non-recurring costs that would traditionally be associated with a full RCM programme. We also identify the opportunities for prognostics and autonomous maintenance to reduce lost production and scheduled maintenance costs.
- Maintenance and Support Costing: We have developed a suite of Cost Models, which range from complex and detailed event-based simulation models to simple spreadsheets. This range of modelling capability allows us to tailor, develop and deliver cost-effective modelling support. The modelling concepts are supported by experienced engineers who have developed models, and collected and recorded pertinent data, across a wide range of market sectors - thus offering costing "best practice". The models can be used to compare design options, forecast costs for budgeting purposes or to support benchmarking for service/spares support contracts.

We have evaluated and improved reliability on a variety of products that range from 12MW variable speed drives, to gearboxes and wind turbines. Our team has performed Life Cycle Costing, Support Analysis, Availability and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) analyses for Tier 1 suppliers, on a wide range of products, from power conversion and monitoring equipment, to control systems and their components.
